Beauvautrait Alpaca Farm has the second largest herd of Alpacas in France. We breed Huacaya Alpacas, in our opinion the most attractive of all the Alpacas. Alpacas are livestock that are environmentally friendly and produce a natural fibre for top of the range products making Alpaca wool a much sought after yarn by manufactures. The Alpaca is recognised as one of the longest established domesticated breeds of livestock. Alpaca farming and breeding is ideally suited to small acreage farms and small holdings. Alpacas are relatively easy to care for and maintain and can prove to be a highly profitable enterprise in their own right or as part of a existing farm. The Alpaca's heritage is believed to be rooted in the South American ancient Inca cultures.
